Ascorbic acid derivatives, including ascorbate palmitate, magnesium ascorbate phosphate, and ascorbate glucoside, are common ingredients in whitening product formulations. They inhibit tyrosinase and tyrosinase, thereby helping to fade dark spots and brighten the complexion.


Ascorbic acid derivatives are actually very powerful antioxidants.
